The George Inn is a hotel located in Chardstock.

Originally a Church or Parish House where people would gather for a chat after church services and enjoy a sip of the church brew. Evidence of the building’s age can be seen in the Snug area of the bar where there is dated Graffiti from 1649 and some even earlier. The pub still maintains many original features such as fireplaces, old oak beams and a beautiful piece of linen fold panelling in the Lounge Bar Area.

We have an enviable reputation for serving excellent, mouthwatering dishes and guarantee all our ingredients are locally sourced from within a radius of 30 miles and all prepared to the highest standards by our talented and experienced chef.
