Polmarine Waterside Cottage is a self catering property located in Polruan.

The house is one of very few properties in Polruan which is situated in a peaceful and idyllic location right on the water’s edge. A small passageway of winding steps next to the Waterfront Apartments, gives easy access to the patio and the house with its magnificent view across Fowey harbour.

Polmarine is a boathouse originally dating from the early 18th Century, and is a small part of a large area of land containing several properties purchased from the Duchy of Cornwall by an eminent sea captain, who built a quay on the site.

At the turn of this century it came into possession of the Bunt family and was named Bunt’s Yard. It was during this time that the property started to be divided. A family feud became so much that a set of steps down to the quay were divided in half so that the two feuding members did not have to use the same steps.

Nearby restaurants include The Lugger Inn, Food For Thought Restaurant, The Other Place, and Restaurant At The Fowey Hotel.
