Chark Country Holidays is a cottage / caravan park located in Bodmin.
A small complex of 5 spacious high quality barn conversions set around a courtyard in a picturesque farm setting in Mid Cornwall.
Easily accessible from the main roads, yet quiet and tranquil. The accommodation is graded 4 Gold Award by Visit Britain and consists of two cottages sleeping 2 people + cot and 3 cottages sleeping up to 4 plus cot/small bed. Some properties have scope to add extra full size beds in the large bedrooms. Two cottages have wheelchair access and one is graded M3A.
The accommodation is suitable for couples and families with children of all ages. On site there are lots of friendly animals including ponies, goats, kune kune pigs, hens, ducks and guinea pigs. A complimentary horse and cart ride is offered to all guests, and a ride on the miniature horse to smaller guests (Age 6 maximum)
There are large patios and lawns to play on or barbecue, also a play area with large trampoline and swings, You can also explore the woods and surrounding fields, there is a huge variety of wildlife to spot.
The site is ideal for touring the whole county. Only 10 minutes to the South Coast beaches and 30 minutes to the North Coast.
We are only 10 minutes drive from Eden Project, The Camel Trail, Bodmin Moor, and even closer to NT Lanhydrock House (you can even walk there through the woods) Our local town historic Lostwithiel is just 5 minutes drive and has a wealth of interesting shops and restaurants, the riverside is beautiful and ancient Restormel Castle is well worth a visit. Many of our guests return again and again - you never run out of things to do!
