Set in a tranquil location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) at Churchstanton in the Blackdown Hills. Close to the Somerset - Devon border, and yet only six miles from Taunton. The Old Pigsty is a detached, single storey barn converted in 2001. Previously it formed part of the farm buildings when Strawbridges Farm was a working farm. It has been used as self contained holiday accommodation since April 2002 with many satisfied visitors commenting most favourably upon their holiday experiences and the quiet, picturesque location. The cottage has been rated as 4 Stars by the English Tourist Board.

Nearby restaurants include Holman Clavel Inn, and The Merry Harriers.
