Great location. Cabs are always available. Can take a quick walk in the park, visit shops and good places to dine right behind the hotel.

Positives: Perfect location. Quick walk to the tube and shopping.

Negatives: Room is small, no central AC.

Over all it was a pleasant stay.

I wanted a four star hotel, the public spaces and staff are four star but the rooms are way small and the bathrooms are small and circa 1960. The shower was very awkwardly placed and difficult to use. TV has a variety of European channels but poor connection and all movies are pay per view. The hotel was very hard to find because there was no address listed. They did let me check in at 9am which was nice after a long plane ride. It was acceptable but not four star and nothing to get excited about.

Positives: Proximity to central london and the tube.

Negatives: The bathrooms are circa 1960 - no 4 star hotel should be so out of date.

The hotel is very old, the main entrance is on a small street and the rooms are very noisy because the floors are very old and under the rug they are made of wood or something. The floors were dirty and smelly.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: Very old, noisy, expensive, complicated entrance.

I really enjoyed this hotel quite a bit. The concierge was immensely helpful, the room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and overall, it was a beautiful hotel. I really have no complaints!

Positives: Comfort, beauty, felt European, loved it!

Negatives: No ability to control heat in individual rooms.

Its not a good hotel with family and children due to poor location and old property.

Positives: Its an old hotel with a poor location and poor entrance. Not recommended at all.

Negatives: The location of the room was not comfortable and the bill showed was more then the amenities used.

Great location, near the Green Park tube station for easy access. The rooms and public areas are very clean, but a bit tired. Generally friendly staff. There are great off-the-beaten-path places to eat and pubs toward Berkley Square from this hotel.

Positives: Great location, friendly staff, big rooms (for London).

Negatives: Rooms were in fair shape.

Nice hotel with American amenities. Location is excellent for the theater district and local shopping. However, overall the hotel is old, lack modernization. Much nicer hotels in the area for similar cost.

Positives: Palm Court - tea room was excellent.

Negatives: Rooms were small and not modern.

We stayed at the Thistle Charing Cross two years ago and loved it. Perfect location and lovely room -- small but lovely and for the price great! We didn't like the location of the Park Lane and the room actually smelled bad. We figured out how to drain the air conditioner ourselves as we asked 5 TIMES and no one did it. It would shut off in the middle of the night beause it was full and it was HOT!!! Basically was not impressed.

Positives: We loved our last stay at the Thistle across from Trafalgar Square. Did not like the Park Lane.

Negatives: The room at the Park Lane actually smelled. We had to ask 5 TIMES for someone to fix the air conditioner!

We stayed at this hotel last year on our own and paid twice the price that we paid. This hotel is going to be converted to a "W" hotel as soon as permits can be approved. This is a great hotel . It is on Picadilly Street and you can walk to everything.

Positives: Starwood hotel is very nice. Old Victorian hotel.

Negatives: Air conditioning could be better.

This is a pretty hotel in a good location, although on a very busy and noisy street. The room we had was tiny, but functional, but not more than 2 star quality. It was a smoking room, and had a distinct odor, and we had requested non-smoking. It was tiny, a bit uncomfortable, and smelled of smoke. No other rooms were available, and no great effort made on their part to make it up to us. Claustrophobics stay away!! Great staff and food was excellent. Nice lobbies.

Positives: Great front desk staff and helpful conceirge

Negatives: received a smoking room, and tiny tiny room, not as expected, and no other available to switch out of.

This Park Lane Hotel hias an uniquely obscure entrance on a tiny side street, just off Picadilly. It is a short walk Knightsbridge and located in Mayfair close to Park Lane. There is a very nice quiet bar. I did not try the dining facilities or work out room. The room was large and very comfortable. Bathroom a classic British marble masterpiece.

Positives: The price for the location and quality worked for me.

Negatives: The elevators were not working well.

Very comfortable beds. Lovely locale and good access to bus, underground. 2 entrances, main one terrible methane gas smell, other (on main street) had to drag suitcases up stairs through 2 rooms to reception.

Positives: Great starting place for a walk around town.

Negatives: Tiny room, needed and had air conditioner, but not working.

Good, high quality hotel. Room was slightly smaller than a normal 4 star, but OK. Location was good, 3 blocks to Green Park tube on Piccadilly line (line to Heathrow and West end theatres.) Also on bus lines from West end theatres. Just around the corner is Sherard Market, a neat little village within the city. Has a bunch of restaurants and bars and other services.

Positives: Good location, clean rooms.

Negatives: Breakfast was not included, $32 for two of us before we figured it out.
