Built in the year 1887 as the Local Shop, Post Office and General Store. The name was chosen in honour of Queen Victoria's youngest son who frequently used the Inn when he lived in the nearby village of Boyton.

The Prince Leopold enjoys the archetypal setting for an English country inn - standing beside the River Wylye, looking out over the water meadows beyond, and tucked away in a quiet Wiltshire village. That said, we are only 5 miles from Warminster, 15 from Salisbury, 10 minutes off the A303. .and on a good day only an hour and a half from London. Furthermore we are just 5 miles from Longleat Safari Park and Center Parcs at Longleat Forest.
