Originally built in 1850 the cottage is a fine example of early Victorian architecture. The main Victorian residence and original coaching house have been sympathetically converted and extended whilst enhancing the original character and features. All extensions and improvements have been built using original Victorian stone. The east wing has completed in 1996 using stone rescued from the demolition of a 19th century rag mill.
