The Craven Heifer, a traditional country Inn, some 200 years old, named after the champion heifer, reputed to be the largest ever bred, by the Reverend William Carr, Rector of the parish of Bolton Abbey, a neighbouring district of Craven, in 1807. Addingham is a village nestled in the Wharfe Valley on the banks of the river Wharfe between Bolton Abbey and Ilkley, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
