The Old Wisteria Hotel - located in the heart of Oakham-provides comfort and hospitality combined with the charm and character of a country house ambience. Once a hunting Lodge - this attractive property-part of which is a cottage dating back to 1604- has been carefully extended over the years and today offers facilities and services that meet the needs of both the business and leisure guest. All 25 well appointed bedrooms are spacious and decorated to a very high standard. They all offer ensuite bathroom facilities and are well appointed to meet the needs of the discerning traveller. The Cottage lounge bar and restaurant- with original beams and a winter log fire- provides an intimate- informal and relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal. All dishes are prepared in house from fresh produce.
We are delighted to offer our popular Wine and Dine package which includes an excellent value 3 course a la carte dinner with wine to complement your stay. Oakham is Rutland s county town. It enjoys a tranquil country setting surrounded by rolling countryside and picturesque villages and Rutland Water- a centre for wildlife habitat and leisure activities - is a particular feature. A variety of outdoor activities and historic attractions are all within reach of the hotel. There are good road and rail links to Oakham- with direct connection to Stansted Airport.
