No soap in bathroom - box was empty. Very small room (117). Couldn't eat in restaurant because there was a party going on! That's just not good enough, and the only time I've ever not been able to eat in a hotel I've been staying in. Rang room service and at the 4th attempt, got through, and they didn't have any burgers left! As I didn't fancy anything else on the menu I went out to eat! For a supposedly 'upmarket' hotel, it was rather poor, and don't think I'll stay there again.
Positives: Not much
Negatives: See below

the food at the restaurant was very good but service was too slow.
the rooms are of good size but as you can see need better cleanning as well as the bathrooms. This was not a problem last year.
In general I will recomend the hotel again, if in my next stay I can verify that it has change.
Positives: rooms are fairly large
Negatives: rooms and bathrooms lack cleaning

A good stay, having stayed many times at this hotel. Some rooms are better than others, seems a lottery as to what you are allocated.

Expensive room
Positives: Good clean spacious room with a comfortable bed.
Negatives: No soap in room!

The hotel never takes any notice of the special requests section in your booking form. I always ask for a high floor, as it is quieter - the hotel never seems to have read that section.
The hotel restaurant is poor, offering fashionable Latino fusion food, whereas after a long day at work all I want is simple food that I can recognise, and to sit in a resaturant that does not have loud music and gloomy lighting!
Positives: Clean modern hotel, spacious rooms
Negatives: Room was very noisy from street traffic, despite double glazing.

Great hotel, really clean and fresh decor, friendly welcoming staff all fluent in English, a great change from London hotels! A few more signs around the ground floor to the bar etc. wouldn't go amiss.

Room service food came quicker than promised even late at night. I was late-ish for breakfast - 9am. The breakfast room was untidy and many tables had not been cleared - it was actually difficult to find a table set for me to eat at. I don't remember seeing any staff in the breakfast room the whole time I was there. I think more staff are needed in the morning to keep on top of things. Would also be nice to be able to pay less for a continental breakfast if not eating a full English.
Positives: Loved the contemporary design
Negatives: TV in room didn't work. Need to offer Wifi rather than Ethernet internet access

The breakfast was appalling. Waited over 40 minutes in the reception area to be seated for breakfast, after having to remind the front of house girl to put our room number on the list as she forgot and left us. Then we got into the restaurant which was frankly filthy. The table we were seated at was dirty with no cutlery and left over items from the previous people. Hardly any food was left and what was there was greasy and tasteless. If it had not been for the fact that I checked out earlier I would not have paid for it. It was disgusting. When I complained about waiting the reception staff were rude and overall I did not find them friendly at all, they did not look me in the face or smile once.
Positives: Room was fantastic, loved the shower, cleanliness of bathroom etc
Negatives: The breakfast service. The member of staff who checked us out was rude

a longer checkout time was requested on line but refused.this would have been helpfull- especially as a late arrival time had been declared.
Positives: rooms clean
Negatives: no breakfast included

the lighting in the room was not adequate when preparing to out.By that I mean when applying make up or drying hair etc.
Pity that there is no private/free parking however the discount rate for the ncp car park is a move in the right direction but cause a problem if you want the car late at night.
Positives: very friendly and polite staff. location excellent for city centre
Negatives: not adequate lighting in room . no private/free parking available

Reception were slow and unattentive.. they did not ask about my stay or if everything was okay. When I called to complain about the noise, they did not seem interested to react or offer any solutions or suggestions.
Positives: Excellent room size and general cleanliness of both room and hotel
Negatives: Placement of furniture in Lobby seemed too lying around and in the way.
