Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Abbots Thorn is in Coverdale's principal village of Carlton with stunning views south towards West Scrafton. In the heart of 'Herriot' country, the village is situated between Leyburn and Hawes and consists of only about 90 houses and a pub. Carlton is an ideal base for walking, hiking, fishing, bird watching or touring in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
