I often go for country side walks and thought this location was ideal. I had just walked The Mary Gilbert and was hungry and thirsty so i stopped at this delightful pub. The staff welcomed me in as soon as i stepped through the door and offered me a table in either the resturant or the garden. i opted for the restuarant as it had just started to rain. The atmosphere in there was freindly and welcoming with children and dogs happily sitting together. Dogs were not allowed in the restuarant area so if you do not like them you have nothing to fear. The menu was more than i expected from a pub and my meal came quickly by a smileing waitress. As soon as i had finished another waitress cleared my plate and offered another drink. I will admitt that the decor needs re doing as it is slightly out dated but it is clean and not over powering.

Positives: The staff were very friendly especially the bar man and waitress i was served by.
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming
and the garden looked beatufiul and well kept.

Negatives: Decor needs updating.

Walked in and waited by the bar for 5 mins( 1 other gentleman drinking) and 4 members of staff ignored us so we walked out. Could not get over how rude they were.
