Aynho is a village in South Northamptonshire on the edge of the Cherwell valley about 6. 5 miles southeast of the north Oxfordshire town of Banbury and 7 miles southwest of Brackley. Along with its neighbour Croughton 2 miles (3. 2 kilometers) to the east, it is one of the two southernmost villages in Northamptonshire, and thus is oftern regarded as part of the informal area of Banburyshire. It is the southernmost settlement in the entire English East Midlands region.
