The market towns of Grantham, Sleaford and Newark are all in easy reach and we are in the centre of several aviation historical sites. Byards Leap Cottage is on the Viking Way long distance footpath which runs from the Humber to Oakham and is delightful walking, through heathland, wild flower pastures and rolling countryside which is home to many birds including skylarks, pheasants and partridge. You may also be fortunate and observe buzzards or red Kites.

We provide a comfortable overnight stay for walkers and serve evening meals if booked ahead.

We are also recognised "Cyclists Welcome" hosts.

Nearby restaurants include The Cheerio Cafe, Cheerio Cafe, and The Bustard Inn.
