The house is full of history and character being originally a 15th Century Hall House with a later Victorian weatherboard shop addition, formerly the village drapers. The shop provides very private and spacious bed and breakfast accommodation and there is a restored oak-framed detached barn which is available for self-catering breaks. Farthingales B&B has recently been awarded a 4-Star Silver rating by Visit Britain.
