The Ned is a new lifestyle hotel with distinctive personality- combining the attention to detail and service of a boutique hotel- with grand proportions. The creation of The Ned started with the Grade 1 listed building which was originally designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens- who was affectionately known as Ned. The buildings original features have been restored- including the floors- ceilings- pillars- wood paneling and the bank vault- including its safety deposit boxes. Offering 252 rooms and suites- which are inspired by 1920s and 1930s design with vintage pieces- hand-made furniture and the up to date addition of rain forest showers. Including Heritage rooms with original walnut paneling- which were previously the bank Directors offices- Junior suites and 5 speciality suites. Each room within The Ned will have unique elements so no two will be the same. Also housing 7 individual bars and restaurants in the former Grand Banking Hall- serving food that spans the globe- from Britain to Northern Italy- North America to Japan. Open morning- noon and night. Dedicated Meeting and Events space can be found on the 6th floor- boasting a dedicated reception area- 6 unique Grade 1 listed rooms and two outdoor terraces. The rooms retain many original period features- including walnut paneling and chandeliers- in addition to furniture and fabrics designed specifically for them. The event spaces range from intimate boardrooms to large banqueting spaces- with a capacity of between 10 to 200 people- with all rooms benefiting from natural daylight. Neds Club- an exclusive member only area- can also be found within the walls of The Ned. Consisting of Downstairs- our basement lounge bar in the former banking vault and Upstairs- the rooftop with 2 bars- restaurant and heated swimming pool. Plus Active and Relax areas offering a state of the art gym- 3 studios- a hamam and a 20m indoor swimming pool. Hotel guest will enjoy temporary Neds Club membership for the duration of their stay.
