Good 3-star hotel (at best). Most staff were friendly and helpful. Night manager was rude and abusive to members of my party as well as others we met...it was rather surreal actually. Close to Camden Town Station and Camden Market. Lots going on. If I had bid on a 3-Star and won the Holiday Inn Camden Lock, I would have been happy (apart from the bit about the night manager). Definitely not a 4-star. Should be reclassified as a 3-star. If you expect 4-star you will be let down.
Positives: Check-in staff were very accomodating. Proximity to Camden Market and Tube are both pluses.
Negatives: Night-time manager was rude. Not just rude, rather he was insulting to me and other members of my party.

I can't believe how fantastic our stay was and I would definitely bid on a five star in London again.
Positives: The rooms were very spacious, and included a couch and chair and two beds. The staff in this hotel are amazing.
Negatives: In order to access the pool or health club guests pay an extra 15 pounds.

Straight-forward, clean, nice accommodations, near the Camden Lock, Camden Market, and a Tube stop. Nicer than I expected from a Holiday Inn.

Good if you stay on Camden Lock. This is probably not a 4-star hotel, but its definitely nice and the location is great!

Holiday Inn Camden Lock is situated on a canal. Only a 5 minute walk from the tube. Located directly across from Camden Market. Friendly staff and clean, nice rooms.
Positives: Nice location on canal. Friendly staff. Close to subway. Nice rooms.
Negatives: A little noisy outside at night, but not too bad.

Overall a good hotel due to location, friendliness of staff and recent updates. However lacked on cleanliness. Hotel cups were dirty (hair), maids left dirty rags in rooms and did very little to tidy up.

High quality hotel with nice restaurants. Easy walking distance to the subway. Located in an area with lots of young punk demographic. We felt safe in the area.

Hotel is located in a very hip part of town right next to a great Locke & Square Acre Large International Market. Tube is also very close. Neighborhood is possibly a little too "urban" for children.

This hotel is in an excellent location. It's close to an underground station, close to the sights in London. The staff is all very helpful and friendly. I'll stay there again when I return to London.

Excellent hotel with a considerate and flexible staff. Located within a five-minute walk of the Underground and close to a variety of eating establishments. Overall, met my needs exceedingly well, especially considering the price I paid.

Good hotel in interesting scenic location with interesting shopping nearby. But with air condition in bad shape, it is necessary to open the balcony doors, which then allows in excessive noise from pubs below. Overall, I would recommend it.
Positives: Excellent location with views of the canal and bridges.
Negatives: Air conditioning worthless, room hot and stuffy.

Located just minutes from the Camden town tube stop, and convenient to buses to the center of London, the holiday inn Camden lock is a great choice for the traveler interested in experiencing a lively, "hip" part of London. Rooms are of a good size, staff is friendly, and hotel restaurant and bar are very convenient.
Positives: Location in hip part of town - nice room, friendly staff.
Negatives: Drunks singing outside my room at 3:00 am.

Clean comfortable but compact room, bathroom a little cramped. Nice location on the Regents Canal. Helpful staff. Small but pleasant lobby with bar. Breakfast buffet is good if included with your stay but overpriced if not. Camden Town Road is a bit seedy with some street people lurking beneath the bridges.

This hotel was clean. However, it is located in a bad area. There was a robbery right outside our hotel room, which we witnessed. The walls between rooms was like paper. We had to call the front desk to ask them to do something about the noise at 3:45 a.m. I was very scared to walk from the subway to the hotel. The hotel does not give any information regarding sight seeing. They charged us $20 for an outlet converter, however they never told us there would be a charge. I could have bought one for $12. We were very disappointed with this hotel.

Negatives: This hotel was in a bad neighborhood, hotel staff knew nothing about area attractions. They did absolutely nothing to help us with sight seeing.

Starting at Heathrow From Heathrow take the Piccadilly tube line to Kings Cross, then change to the Northern tube line for 2 stops to Camden Town. Take your right out of the tube station and we are located on the second road to your left.
Starting at Gatwick There is a direct link to London Kings Cross Thameslink Station via the Thameslink. From Kings Cross Underground Station, take the Northern Line north for 2 stops to Camden Town. Turn right out of the station and take your 2nd left to find us.
Starting at Camden Road On exiting the station turn right down Royal College Street then turn right onto Camden Road. Take a right at Camden tube station onto Camden High Street, we are located on the second road on the left about 50 metres up Jamestown Road. Approx 8 min walk
Starting at Camden Town Underground Station On exiting the station turn right & follow signs for Camden Markets. Continue along Camden High Street & take the second turn on your left - Jamestown Road. The hotel is located 50 metres down Jamestown Road and on your right hand side. Approx 4 mins walk
Starting at London City Airport From City Airport take the shuttle bus service to Canning Town Underground Station. Take the Jubilee Line to London Bridge Station. From here, change to the Northern Line to Camden Town Station.
