It was located on the fringe of the neighborhoods we selected. Restaurants in the area close very early. Local underground stop nearest hotel has very limited service. While some staff was helpful, more were acknowledgeable and were overwhelmed by large groups of tourists and airline employees checking in and out which seems to be the main business they cater to. The place has no character whatsoever. I would not stay again. On a positive note the room was clean and quiet.

Positives: Clean, nice TV and

Negatives: Inconvenient location, dark and low ceilings in room, a very impersonal place that seems to cater to groups and airline employees

They nickel and dime you, trying to charge you 5 pound for internet (which is only on one computer in the lobby), they want 20 pounds for their buffet breakfast and charge a "connection fee" from the room phone even if you are using a calling card. The room was clean, but not particularly attractive. The concierge was short and unfriendly which made us hesitant to ask for his assistance. Also we mentioned we were on our honeymoon and the other hotels had given us a bottle of wine at the very least and the women who checked us in was not at all interested.

Positives: Very clean.

Negatives: Not very friendly concierge.

I was very dissatisfied with the accommodations for a Hilton hotel. The rooms are very small, have old furniture and look dirty. The bathrooms are also in need of a major remodel. I was surprised to find a Hilton with the look and feel of a Motel 6.

Positives: Staff was friendly.

Negatives: Rooms are very old and small. Location was a little out of the way from main attractions.

Our stay started when the front desk checked us into a room where somebody was still physically in the room. Could have been very bad. They were sorry, but still. The rooms were a bit aged and the internet was overpriced. Hotel slightly too far from the main tube lines and the one station which is close, the train only comes every 20 minutes. The room they put us in was also very far from the elevator, with a number of stairs with a 7 month pregnant partner, and 3 heavy bags it wasn't easy!

Positives: Cheaper rate, good coffee shop and

Negatives: The location too far from main tube line.

The Hilton Olympia is an excellent value for the price we paid. It has all the conveniences one would expect, and the staff is courteous and competent. It met our expectations in every respect.

Positives: Ease of access to public transport 24/7.

Negatives: Restaurant very high priced.

Hotel is located 3-4 minutes walking distance from Olympia subway station which makes it very easy to travel throughout the city. The rooms are spacious with all the amenities.

Positives: Excellent location, great deal for the price that we paid.

Negatives: ATM do not accept international debit cards.

The hotel was excellent, but there was not much selection for restaurants nearby, without a lot of walking. The man at the desk was not friendly.

Positives: The servers were very efficient, in the dining room.

Negatives: The hot food was not included in the buffet breakfast, without paying more.

This hotel was a great quality hotel (especially for Europe). It was clean and very conveniently located. It was just off the tube and near bus lines to almost every tourist attraction.

Positives: It was in an excellent location. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Negatives: I did not find anything to dislike.

Positives: Great, friendly, and

Negatives: Mattress was a bit firm, as in hard.

Not a 4 star hotel more like 3.

Positives: Good water pressure in the shower.

Negatives: Location not convenient to regular tube station. Temperature regulation not good usually too hot.

4 star for a Hilton chain hotel is too high although it matches standard used for British style hotel at this star. My room seem to have been renovated, and I actually enjoyed the modern decoration.

Positives: Location. Rarely friendly staff. Amazing price through bidding.

Negatives: Common areas look worn out, similar the standard of British style hotels not US Hilton's.

I would stay away from this hotel. I am a frequent business traveler to London. This hotel is quite far 10 -15 minutes walk from the tube and that would be worth it if it had any redeeming qualities whatsoever. The lobby is fine but it has shabby hallways with threadbare carpeting, tiny dilapidated rooms and an unhealthy dose of unfriendly staff. There are much better options available.

Positives: There was absolutely nothing to like about this hotel.

Negatives: Poor location, shabby hallways, tiny and dilapidated rooms and unfriendly staff.

Loved this hotel. Conveniently located, not in city center but very accessible by bus or underground (station two minute-walk away). There are few places to eat breakfast close by and the restaurant is pretty expensive.

Positives: Friendly staff, and

Negatives: Expensive breakfast.

Our hotel was extremely friendly and helpful with an older charm to greet you outside yet modern when inside. Everyone was very willing to help in any way and loved hearing their true English accent since we're from North America.

Positives: Quick service when towels, toilet paper, anything was asked for.

Negatives: Our king size bed was actually 2 twins together with a gap between.

Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom not the best, but worked out okay. The linens were good enough.

Positives: Clean enough and location good.

Negatives: No heat and had to pay a lot for internet.

The hotel was reasonably priced, but it did not feel at all like a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 or 3 stars. Old furniture, dirty bathrooms, far from the city centre.

Positives: Cheap enough and

Negatives: Old furniture, small rooms, dirty bathroom, far from the city center.

Great location, very small rooms and front desk staff gave poor customer service.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: Front desk staff was horrible, concierge didn't answer phone.

This Hilton has obviously seen better days. It's old. We asked a non-smoking room but the room had obviously been smoked in. We respectfully asked to be given a non-smoking room, and were moved from the third floor on the back of the hotel (quiet) to the sixth floor (street side noisy), from a room where the air conditioner worked, to a room where the air conditioner did not (only the fan worked, blowing warm room temperature air), from a room where all the lights worked, to a room where two were burned out, from a room with a comfortable double bed, to a room where the bed, I am convinced, was two box springs put together to make up a kingsized bed. It creaked and popped all night long, anytime we moved and sometimes when we were not moving. Lessons learned? 1) Those who ask to be moved will be punished, and 2) This is a Hilton hotel? My, how the mighty have fallen.

Positives: The staff was relatively courteous and helpful by European standards. They were pleasantly helpful.

Negatives: The rooms were awful.
