Riverside ( Dining / Other ). At the Riverside Restaurant we provide the freshest and best fish and shellfish from local waters and the surrounding area served in a way that enhances the natural quality of the product. There is great skill in simplicity; dishes do not need embellishment to demonstrate that the kitchen knows what it is doing. We add sauces and accompaniments as appropriate. www.thefishrestaurant-westbay.co.uk Link

The Rope Makers ( Dining / Pubs / Bars ). Located at 36 West Street, Bridport, 2 miles from the center of Symondsbury. The Ropemakers was built in the late eighteenth century by the Gundry family and was originally called The Sun Inn. The building was refurbished by the Brewery in 1989 and the name changed to The Ropemakers to reflect Bridport's main industry as the World's biggest net making centre which was based on the other side of the road. In some ways The Ropemakers is a bit of a Tardis in that the building is much larger than it looks from the street as it stretches back and back ending in a pretty courtyard area that is popular with smokers and drinkers alike. www.theropemakers.com Link

Electric Palace ( Entertainment / Cinemas ). Located at 35A South Street, Bridport, 2 miles from the center of Symondsbury. The Electric Palace has been operating almost continuously since 1926.
