The Bull

Electric Palace ( Entertainment / Cinemas ). Located at 35A South Street, Bridport, 2 miles from the center of Dottery. The Electric Palace has been operating almost continuously since 1926. It has recently undergone extensive renovation retaining and enhancing the original features. The structural integrity of the building has been improved and the cinema technology, stage equipment and other facilities have been brought into the 21st century. It is still owned by a local family, and the building continues to provide first-class film and live entertainment for the people of Bridport, West Dorset and beyond. www.electricpalace.org.uk Link

The Bull ( Dining / Other ). Located at 34 East Street, Bridport, 2 miles from the center of Dottery. Step in off the bustling market-streets of Bridport, West Dorset and discover the wonderful world of the Bull Hotel. Easy-going, informal and bursting with life, this former 17th century boutique coaching inn, lovingly restored by owners Richard and Nikki Cooper, oozes eclectic style and contemporary-rustic charm. www.thebullhotel.co.uk Link

The Rope Makers ( Dining / Pubs / Bars ). Located at 36 West Street, Bridport, 2 miles from the center of Dottery. The Ropemakers was built in the late eighteenth century by the Gundry family and was originally called The Sun Inn. The building was refurbished by the Brewery in 1989 and the name changed to The Ropemakers to reflect Bridport's main industry as the World's biggest net making centre which was based on the other side of the road. In some ways The Ropemakers is a bit of a Tardis in that the building is much larger than it looks from the street as it stretches back and back ending in a pretty courtyard area that is popular with smokers and drinkers alike. www.theropemakers.com Link
