Situated in the heart of south-west Dorset's coastal downs, there are many options for dedicated walkers and also for those who enjoy a more leisurely stroll from the door. Many of the routes are circular on well marked bridleways and footpaths.

There are attractions to suit all interests within a short distance of the B&B including the coast and beaches, Abbotsbury Swannery and Sub-Tropical Gardens, fossil collecting on the Jurassic Coast, sailing and windsurfing at Portland, Maiden Castle, and a wealth of spectacular walks through 'Hardy' country.
