J's @ 636 ( Dining / Other ). ***Leisure club closed from 1st September 2009 to 4th September 2009 for maintenance. It will re-open on Saturday 5th September 2009.** Originally an old Victorian house, now tastefully converted to a three star hotel. The hotel is midway through a refurbishment program, taking it from a traditional family run hotel to a more modern contemporary boutique style. All public areas have been refurbished. Our next stage is to update the bedrooms to the same style. The hotel has excellent leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, spa, hydrotherapy spa, gym, sauna and beauty treatment rooms. The hotel has three well equipped conference rooms, as well as a civil ceremony license ideal for those wishing to marry and enjoy their wedding day and evening all under one roof. For those who wish to indulge the restaurant JS at 636 offers a wide range of elected cuisine from traditional to modern, using seasonal fresh produce where possible. Situated opposite is Eaglescliffe golf course described by Golf Monthly magazine as a hidden gem of English golf. We are one mile from picturesque Yarm, with cobbled high street and an ancient viaduct. Yarm has just been voted 2007 best high street in Britain.
