Dating from around 1659, the inn is located in the quiet country village of Faugh, only 10 minutes from Carlisle and junction 43 of the M6 motorway.

The inn features many original and traditional features such as oak panelling, open log fires and stoves, leaded diamond windows, brass and copperware, sandstone fireplaces and wooden beams. Traditional Cumberland Sausage is on the menu and Local Real Ales are served at the bar.
